A place where I mostly post about my floral work, but sometimes other crafty and tasty things.

As promised here’s the the long form post about the knitting project I posted about a few weeks ago. I had a crazy idea to pick up a long term knitting project, so I decided it should be a lace shawl…. I became so obsessed with it, I powered it out in a month. I cast on the 1st of April and finished the last stitch the last day of that month. My husband wasn’t too thrilled with the fact that I would sit for hours with headphones in,  blocking everything out while I concentrated on this pattern. He understood once he saw the finished project!

If you’d like pattern, yarn, needle, etc. details check out my Ravelry project page for this shawl.

And I’m already covered in glitter!

Just finished my latest knitting project. A tiny cardigan!

Pattern is modified from this pattern.

18 Karat Manicure!

Mom and I splurged and picked up a bottle of Sephora by OPI’s “It’s Real 18K Gold Top Coat” yesterday. We’re a little late to the game but we really didn’t want to spend $30 on a bottle of top coat, 18K gold leaf or not. Now that it’s $15, we went for it. I paired it with Sinfulcolors Professional “Jungle Trail,” I don’t know how professional it can be at $1.99 a bottle, but who can pass up buying 4 bottles decent quality polish for the cost of one? I’m all for splurging on a great color, you’re going to get a lot of use out of, don’t get me wrong. But, lime green and little heart shaped sparkles…? Anyway, It turned out great, one coat would have done it, but I wanted to feel EXTRA glitzy so two coats it was.

And now, I’m done writing an essay about nail polish.

I just wanted to share the Halloween wreath I put together for my mom this year. I never got the chance to post about it on Halloween like I planned to. The sparkly green and black stood out quite nicely on the purple door. I came across the picture this evening and thought I’d share.

I’m just about 2 months behind on this post, but I’m finally getting around to posting photos of the floral work I did for an awesome couple in August. All photos are taken by me except the ones water marked by the photographer.
